August Rush

Wow. This movie is probably one of my favorite ones. I feel like my heart's beating and singing with the music.

AUGUST RUSH is a movie about a little orphaned boy, named Evan Taylor, who ran away from the orphanage to search his real parents. He is in a quest with music as his guide and what he hears led him to New York City. There, he encounters The Wizard and the other kids. He never played a music note but when he hears a music instrument playing, he could already play the piece. He's amazing.

He is tied with music. His passion was caused of his desire to find the people who gave him his gifts, his parents. He constantly plays music so to call his parents and to bring them together.
This movie has captured my heart. I cried at the late part of the movie when the twist happens.
It inspired me to play and learn more about piano and guitar. I hope I could play beautifully for the people I love. I know someday I will because I believe in music.

Music is everywhere. All you have to do is listen.

Love In The Time Of Cholera

I'm currently reading this and I have not finished it yet which is why it's the first book that I could ever think of. This novel has settings, like of the 19th century, I guess.

It's all about Florentino Ariza and Fermina Daza who have shared their young and conjugal love in their young transition years. They were hopelessly young lovers who has a world apart from each other because of their social statuses. But neither minded it and they've continued in burning with the flames of love. They were passionately in love. They exchanged letters without the knowledge of Fermina Daza's father, who opposes their affair.

According to the synopsis at the back of the book, Fermina Daza eventually chooses to marry a wealthy, well-born doctor, Dr. Juvenal Urbino. Florentino Ariza was devastated but he is a romantic. As he rises in his business career over the years and have encountered 622 affairs, he reserves his heart flaming with love for Fermina Daza.

When Dr. Juvenal Urbino died at last, Florentino attended his funeral. After fifty-one years, nine months, and four days after he declared his love for her, he will do it all again.

I've never read this kind of novel before. Gabriel Marquez was very intimate in his words. The romantic sense of his writing has captured the way I feel about love.

The quotes that I couldn't forget...

...that casual glance was the beginning of a cataclysm of love that still had not endedhalf a century later.

There is no greater glory than to die for love

Books and Movies

Books and Movies. These things make me laugh, cry, smile, feel disappointment, feel excitement, and a lot of emotions there is.
I'm practically a Movie-Goer and a Book-Reader. I can't say I'm a full-time bookworm or an expert movie critic but I have seen a lot of great movies and have read a certain number of books, that makes me an addict to movies and books.
As what book readers and movie watchers say, there's a lot more than just reading and watching. You get a great deal of fun and experience even if you're just imagining everything as you read and watch.
So, I'm posting different movies and books that I've read and watched. It's somewhat like a movie review.
